Outlet, Switch, and Fixture Replacement in Southern NH and the Merrimack Valley

Worn or outdated outlets, switches, and fixtures replaced safely and brought up to code.

What you get

Small devices, real safety

Worn outlets, cracked switches, and dated fixtures are not just cosmetic, a loose or damaged device is a real fire and shock risk. We replace old and malfunctioning outlets, switches, and fixtures with safe, code-compliant ones, and can upgrade you to GFCI, USB, dimmer, or smart devices at the same time. The estimate is free.

The outlets and switches you touch every day wear out, and a loose connection behind one is exactly where heat and arcing start. Replacing a worn device is a small job with an outsized safety payoff, and it is the right moment to bring things up to current code, a GFCI where the code now wants one, tamper-resistant receptacles, or a smart switch you have been meaning to add. We do it cleanly and tell you honestly which swaps are worth doing and which can wait.

  1. Look and list

We check the devices you are worried about, spot the ones that are a safety concern, and give you a clear written number before any work starts.

  2. Replace and upgrade to code

We swap the worn or outdated devices for safe, code-compliant ones, adding GFCI, tamper-resistant, USB, dimmer, or smart devices where you want them.

  3. Test and confirm

We test each new device, confirm the wiring and grounding are right, and leave everything working the way it should.

Is it worth replacing an outlet that still works?

If it is warm, loose, scorched, cracked, or does not hold a plug, yes, because those are early signs of a connection that can overheat. We will tell you honestly which devices are a real concern and which are fine to leave, so you only replace what actually needs it.

Which outlets are required to be GFCI?

Code now calls for GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry areas, garages, basements, and outdoors, among other spots. When we replace a device in one of those areas, we bring it up to that standard so your home matches current safety code.

Can you replace my old switches with dimmers or smart switches?

Yes. Dimmers, timers, and smart switches are common upgrades, though some need a neutral wire in the box that older homes do not always have. We confirm what your boxes have and install the right device so it works reliably.

Can you swap out an old light fixture for a new one?

Yes. We remove the old fixture, check the box and wiring, and install your new fixture cleanly and safely. If the box or wiring behind it needs attention, we tell you before we start.
