Is a battery backup better than a generator?

It depends on what you need. A battery system is silent, fuel-free, low-maintenance, and ideal for essentials through a typical outage. A standby generator runs the whole house for days as long as fuel lasts. Some homes pair the two, or add solar to recharge the battery. We lay out the tradeoffs for your house honestly.

How long will an EcoFlow battery run my house?

It depends on the battery capacity you install and what is running. Keeping essentials like the refrigerator, lights, and internet on can stretch a battery much further than running heavy loads such as central air or an electric range. We size the system to the circuits you choose, and EcoFlow systems can add batteries later if you want more runtime.

Can an EcoFlow system recharge during a long outage?
